Capable of treating 900,000 tons of wastewater daily, the nation¡¯s largest amount,
the Daejeon Sewage Treatment Plant manages water quality based on the nation¡¯s best water treatment technology.
It operates a remote water quality monitoring system to ensure real-time quality check of wastewater discharged
and an odor monitoring system to analyze odor concentrations around the plant in real time; it also provides various sports parks free of charge for local residents.
With the basic environmental facilities to protect Dacheong Lake, the water source for citizens in Daejeon,
a sanitization plant to efficiently treat a daily average of 900 tons of human waste,
the Daejeon Sewage Treatment Plant supports a green city in which both people and the environment are protected.

As a historic venue for multiple sports and cultural events,
the Hanbat Sports Complex is committed to enhancing citizens¡¯ health
by fostering elite sports and vitalizing sports for all.
The Daejeon World Cup Stadium accommodated passionate soccer fans during the 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup,
and has since been thoroughly managed as a soccer stadium
that is also used as a venue for sports, cultural and art events for citizens.
As the largest facility in the central region,
the Yongun International Swimming Pool uses special hydro filters to maintain the best possible water quality
and offers various sports programs including swimming, aquarobics, high diving, yoga, and belly dancing.
The Olympic Memorial Community Center is a multipurpose cultural space to commemorate the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul.
It now offers a range of programs in the city center to keep the citizens healthy.
The Bokyong Horse-riding Course offers a healthy and enjoyable experience with horses
and a therapeutic horse-riding experience to help citizens with or without disabilities.
The Daejeon Metropolitan City Facilities Management Corporation maintains various sports facilities, making them safe and convenient and serving both the general public and disadvantaged citizens.

Pyeongsong Youth Center provides self-development opportunities for young people to live an active life and nourish their talents, and it operates various youth programs such as culture and arts, career exploration, and club activities.

In addition to providing open spaces for youth and local residents to share such as a performance hall, swimming pool, and book cafe, we also run after-school academies for youths in need of care after school to support their creative and active growth.

For young people, who will lead our future, to design their dreams and to develop creativity, Daejeon Youth Training Village operates safe and useful certification training activities in accordance with the Youth Activity Promotion Act.

The training village also runs artificial rock-climbing wall course, complex adventure activity site, sky-jump field, and a survival game site accompanied by provide with training experts with professional qualifications, providing opportunities for youth to balance their body and mind as they grow.

Rainbow Workshop for the Disabled operates daycare rooms to support social adaptation of people with severe disabilities
and working activity program rooms to enhance working ability through job adaptation training and on-site practice.
Self-help workshops provide opportunities for self-reliance through training to improve job ability; workshops also produce toilet paper, hand towels, copy paper, and bakery products, all
in service as a workplace for people with disabilities.
The Jeongsuwon and Daejeon Memorial Parks serve as peaceful resting places.
Reflecting a funeral culture that is shifting from burial to cremation,
they are helping to create a new funeral culture with indoor enshrinement halls and a natural cemetery.
The Giseong Welfare Center is designed for healthier citizens and happier local communities.
It offers high-quality customized educational, cultural, and welfare services

As the bicycle rental service for citizens in Daejeon,
Tashu provides strengthened mobility throughout the city.
Users can conveniently rent bicycles from and return them to Tashu stations across Daejeon through kiosks or our mobile app,

The Station Underground Arcade located in the center of Daejeon
